Starview the box updating
I plugged the antenna cable into a plug for my sky dish (I don't have a sky box) but when I go to installation and antenna setting and choose different satellite names they all start searching for a signal but nothing happens. Check the cable with a meter put a loop( connect core to shield at one end) on the other end and check resistance. Unit Check your unit with a know good setup a friends perhaps. LNB the unit on the arm of the dish You should be able to get a signal from the LNB with a alignment meter.
Simple things first Cable 1.cable Check the satellite plugs on Both ends are correctly fitted and there is no shorting of the core central cable and the shield.
It is possible that you will need to turn the satellite off in this room to view the OTA's effectively.
